Casting method of AZS series products
AZS bricks are made by melting the raw materials completely, casting them in molds, cooling and solidifying. The shrinkage cavity caused by the volume shrinkage of this product during the condensation process should be paid special attention to when using it. The casting methods of fused zirconia corundum bricks are ordinary casting, inclined casting, shrinkage-free casting and quasi-shrinkage-free casting.
PT-normal casting:
The shrinkage cavities of brick are formed under the castinggate, and it's mostly used for the upper structure of the melting pool and other parts that are not severely corroded.
QX-Inclined casting:
The shrinkage cavities of bricka re located at bottom side while a complete dense zone forms at the opposite end, mainly used as pool wall bricks.
ZWS-Shrinkage-free casting:
This casting method issimilarwith "WS",merely a few shrinkage cavity remain in upper part of the brick, mainly used in the severely eroded parts such as the flow hole, the kiln ridge, the corner of the pool wall, and the pavement.
WS-quasi-shrinkage-free casting:
Similar to non-shrinkage casting, basically the shrinkage cavity of the cast brick is removed, and it is mainly used as pool wall brick.
Application of AZS products in the glass furnace
A. Pool wall bricks: The pool wall bricks are mainly made of fused zirconia corundum, and recently α-β fused corundum bricks are also used.
B. Pool bottom brick: The condition of the pool bottom brick is that the temperature of the glass liquid is low and the flow is weak. Now a multi-layer composite pool bottom structure is used. Generally, the floor tiles are 300mm clay bricks, and the top of the clay bricks is 25mm. Zircon sand or fused zirconia corundum ramming material. The paving bricks are 75mm electro-fused AZS bricks.
C. Feeding pool brick: The feeding pool is severely damaged by the erosion of powder and glass liquid, the wear of the material layer, the erosion of the liquid flow, and the impact of the flame. Especially the corner bricks of the feeding pool, so use 41# electric melting pick corundum bricks at the corners. Except for corner bricks, ordinary cast 33# fused zirconia corundum bricks can be used for other parts.
D. Neck bricks: 33# fused zirconia corundum bricks and large clay bricks are used for the bottom of the pool, 33# AZS fused bricks are used for the pool wall, but 41# fused fused non-shrinkage-cast 41# fused bricks are used at the corners of the neck. Zirconium corundum bricks strengthen the anti-corrosion ability of the bricks, and the neck of the neck is built with high-quality silica bricks, and the neck is built with high-quality silica bricks.
E. Bricks for the cooling part The temperature of the molten glass is lower than that of the melting part, and the erosion on the bricks is lighter. The 33# fused zirconia corundum bricks produced by the oxidation method.F. Bricks for runners: Fused 333#AZS fused bricks or α-Al2O3 bricks for runners.
Selection of refractory materials for regenerator The refractory parts used in the regenerator include lattice body, grate bar, roof bar, side wall and middle partition wall of regenerator. Fused AZS bricks, directly bonded magnesia bricks or silica bricks are often used for the roof of the regenerator. The upper layer of the side wall and the partition wall is made of magnesia bricks, the middle layer is made of magnesia bricks or low porosity clay bricks, and the lower layer is made of low porosity clay bricks. The grate is made of low porosity clay bricks.
