Application of fused cast AZS bricks in the flame outlet of End Fired furnace

Longitudinal flame kiln (horseshoe flame kiln) glass tank kiln is widely used in the current daily glass production, including: glass melting part, heat supply part, waste heat recovery part, exhaust gas supply part. First, preheated air is provided from the smoke exhaust supply area and enters the regenerator. The hot air then enters the melting part of the glass melting part.The two small furnaces in the heat energy supply part generate a horseshoe-shaped flame to provide heat, making the supply The batch materials and broken glass added to the material pool melt into glass liquid, which enters the feed tank after being clarified and partially cooled by the working part. Product molding usually uses the dripping method: after the glass liquid drips from the end of the feed channel, it is cut into droplets by special scissors and placed in the steel mold of the molding machine for molding. Fused zirconium corundum AZS is the irreplaceable core material required for this kiln.

 

The location of the flame outlet is one of the harshest places in the kiln. On the one hand, due to the high temperature, the heat load the flame outlet bears is the largest part of the furnace; on the other hand, the flame outlet is close to the feeding port, and the heat load in the batch material Alkaline dust, corrosive gases produced by the decomposition of raw materials, and some salt volatiles corrode the crater bricks; then high-temperature airflow scouring and burning the crater bricks. Therefore, the selection of refractory materials for the burner vent is very important. It must have good high-temperature properties, that is, high mechanical strength, high softening temperature under load, and high creep temperature. It must also have good chemical stability, resistance to airflow erosion, Good corrosion resistance.

 

The flame outlet refractory materials has gone through several stages such as silica bricks, fused mullite bricks (black iron bricks) and fused zirconium zieconia bricks. Judging from the current situation, fused zirconium alumina bricks are very appropriate as refractory materials for fire vents. Because it has high mechanical strength, refractoriness, load softening temperature, and good chemical stability, the flame outlet made of fused zirconium alumina bricks can extend its service life. Not because of changes in the size and structure of the furnace, some furnace vents are still in use for more than 10 years.
